Lets face it. The economy on Kraftzone is pushed off the fiscal cliff. We need to seriously revamp it.
Let us take a look at the causes-
1. X-Ray. No registered person should be running around in full enchanted diamond armor with an emerald house and gold walkway.
2. Job Exploits. It's just way too easy to make money with the current settings.
3. Donators. Yes. You people who paid money for creative mode. It's meant for you, and you only. Not to be hand out and sell dirt cheap.
Now lets seriously fix it!
1. We need an anti-xray plugin! Stop whining you xrayers. It's still a crime.
2. We need to lower the money amounts of certain materials.
3. Come up with a fiscal policy that should include "giving out these items equals automatic revocation of your donator privileges"
4. The towns, nations, warps, and spawners need to cost more or be limited.
In more details-
1. I feel the towns should cost somewhere around 80k and can only be created by members and above.
2. Nations should cost 2.5m. they're nations, not just an add-on to your town. Too many nations exist with just one town in it.
3. Warps should be 50k and spawners should be 100k.

Use contractionary fiscal policy.
Raise Taxes (town and nation upkeep)
Lower Government Spending (i.e. lower money for voting, donators not giving stuff out for free)

we should also (in the admin shop)lower sold prices so people with tons of one item cant go in admin shop and just sell tons of crap to get alot of money, I, when i was registered i sold all my diamonds at admin shop and i was able to make a town and put 100k in the town bank to start off.

Pretty much agree with naruto.. though none of the actual economy pricing changes will take effect for a while, because they are simply not decided yet.
Anyway here is some more stuff....
Existing and future players wanting to get [Member] rank will all be required to register on the forum (it will be tied in with the "http://kraftzone.tk/forum/server.php" (that url will be changing) things like voting,playtime and other ingame stats will be on the website and in your own ingame player profile.
Spawner purchasing will be more restricted to only town mayors. A bigger and better public mobarena will be added (similar to pigpit) only in the main world, to move away from all custom grinders... you are free to build mob grinders around 'found' spawners in the wild.. but being able to buy 2,4,8+ mob spawners is going.
Only [Members] will be allowed to create a town, and more pruning of inactive players and towns will likely be removed over 2-3months unless you have provided adequate notice.
Some form of anti-xray monitor will be put in place (most likely this plugin , you can read about it: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/anti-x-ray/ (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/anti-x-ray/))
Jobs will get an adjustment to the highest possible level cap, lowered payment rates, removed and/or more easily exploitable jobs nerfed.
Owning a Nation will require an additional requirement, you will need to make a thread in Towns board (http://kraftzone.tk/forum/index.php?board=17.0 (http://kraftzone.tk/forum/index.php?board=17.0)) and have the signature of 3 other members who are in a town (doesn't have to be your own) agreeing to support your kingdom request.

No, i think Koolio's saying that from now on spawner purchasing will be limited.. i don't think it will affect past purchases.

these changes pleases me, also thecyberhedgehog brings a good put about donators but if we work that in like tier 2 or 3 then people will start donating or complaining and there will be no point to that hm the possibility...

Further going into the idea brought up by Koolio;
The spladdition (not really a split, more of an addition) of KraftZone into Premium and NonPremium servers.
All these suggested changes could take effect on the Premium server, whilst the NP server stays the same as KraftZone is now.

If the server dose go Premium I wont be on anymore till i can get my accualy premium account but i has to convince me perentes too buy it for me cause im broke and they might not buy it Soo it might be the last of dead D: or i can go on Jp's account but he wont let me soo yeah ...

I agree with naruto, but in addition, I think we should take 3/4 of everyones money.

I personally think the server should not divide to premium and non-premium. Our server is unique because it is one of the few servers that allow a person to play with a group of people. Most servers require a person to be premium. We should never go that route.

I agree with naruto all the way, don't make it premium.
And think about it... If you make the server premium then only premium players can play but if it stays cracked then both cracked and premium players can play so you would get more players on, but that brings us to another issue which is popularity, we either need to go visiting other forums and advertise or we can set up more voting systems on more popular websites, but I do not have the power to do this, so koolio you make your mind up and do what you can

The reason for premium server is just because it's much easier to run. And the non premium is probably going to be hosted by someone from the community. That's all I know.

I think Dead has some good points. I think taking their money is a little extreme though. I also think that my enchant shop is reasonably priced. It was expensive enough when people didn't use exploits or mods to get money. If they stop getting money, we won't have to worry about noobs getting enough money to even use my enchant shop.

Oh and people on the server are walking around whit Daimond swords that have protection Unbrakeing and all that shit same whit armor and i think we should take that away soo far if seen swords whit every enchant ment For Armor and swords and Tools Soo far that One of the things we can take Away soo noobs wont bee getting stuff and Its usally donaters and Some staff that have been giveing them out Soo I think they should stop giveing awya all this Stuff Because if noobs get there hand on it you can have People leaveing Kz because It not ligit soo i think donaters shouldent begiveing that kind of stuff out same for Staff and Up.
As for Your enchant shop we cna leave the prices and we can lower the Jobs Money soo people wont Be buying like 3 sets of protetion 4 armor and god swords

well i've always taken away magical repairing totally 100% legit not hack or not from MA swords and armor that magically repair themselves after you hit something and then go in your inventory then it goes from red durability to full durability in a instant because they are demon magic swords and dont get me started on the armor :D

OK FAT WALL OF TEXT APPROACHING, I wrote a bunch of it and then left it, I've been getting to grips with using linux on a dedicated server recently so haven't had a lot of time finish this up, among other life stuff.

In the year I've run Kraftzone, I can tell you without a doubt it would have grown to be a popular server if it didn't have the password registration setup. Among other things less hassle overall, however with popularity brings new problems aswel which is why I'm not wanting to rush into things.
The registration system has turned away premium players and even cracked players who have been confused over the process (which is maybe a good thing, however as someone who wants to see more players enjoying the server its also kinda sad), lost accounts (plugin/server issues) passwords ...premium players are so used to just going on a server without having to make a new password for it. The only real problem premium servers have is with Mojang authentication servers messing things up for servers without adequate server security and/or whitelist setup.
Also the extra hassles of running a offline server and security vulnerabilities, which I can tell you is no easy task when complete retards have an easier way to come back on the server with different ip's, proxies and usernames (instead of them needing to have multiple premium accounts), or the plugin exploits, because most developers don't test there plugins in an online, auth off setup. And who can blame them when its not exactly a bukkit requirement in plugin submissions. Offline only exists in bukkit to help developers. The fact it hasn't been closed is very much to do with developers. And Notch knowing that if it was removed minecrafts popularity would decline faster than his few actual in-house paid developers could bring out in improvements for the game or multiplayer, that a community of free developers bring to the game. However I would not be surprised with Mojang forcing Bukkit to prevent offline mode during this year when they get out a proper mod api.
On a sidenote donations from non premium players are far less likely to donate to a server, they are more inclined to buy minecraft first if anything, which doesn't come as any surprise.
There is plenty more reasons that running an offline server is just shunned by the community (even plugin developers):
Kraftzone has never been a featured server at planetminecraft, its laid low while other servers that started during similar time as mine, got featured and instantly got huge viewer hits, that kind of stuff helps a new server get noticed. While mine has catered to cracked players, it couldn't ever get featured simply because..
I think some of you might take it for granted I run it this way, and its only because the 2 servers I used to play on stopped running an offline server or 3 if you include Styx, which was the very last minecraft server I ever played on before starting Kraftzone, they were all auth off servers I enjoyed playing on, and Kz is the way it is because of those previous servers.
I don't promise that Kraftzone will never go premium, I don't promise anything actually because the future is unknown. I do plan to keep running a server that allows for offline players to play, for as long as its possible with the actual bukkit software. That means that should there be any split in Kraftzone's server setup, if that happens I would still look to provide the auth off server somehow (and keep it running like Kraftzone). It would however also mean the split of Kraftzone would carry on as a premium only server and lose the registration system.
So to summarize:
. Loyalty to non premium players
. Get fully dedicated hardware
. Start premium Kraftzone server(s)
If you still reading this and wondering what this got to do with server economy :D lol ... well things like that are just much easier to do from scratch. Small things however will be changed along the way, some of those changes are already happening, including the selling of spawners (currently you do not get money from killing mobs at spawners, and there is more of a limit on how many a player can have unless they are a town mayor), more rules and guidelines in prices and what not for donators and staff to follow in dealing with things like repairs, shops and enchants etc.
I've said it a few times in game but I wouldn't be making any big changes to the economy until Mojang release a big update perhaps bringing in new map changes. It makes doing a map reset much easier for players to swallow and thus losing there diamond block chests, phat bank accounts etc :D. And whatever other hoarded booty they've gained from Kraftzone's less than strict rules and plugin configs over the months. However I do also like this option....

...lol that would probably take the number of active players on Kraftzone down a bit, and of course I'm not like that. So need to do things over time and prepare more. The goal is to make the server fun and still have that element of needing to do all the basics of getting food, making farms, killing mobs and building.
However its not really had a good trading economy, or regular events... I'll have another post on the situation with where things are going with the server later.

I do want to run a server without it yes, however not if it means not running a server with registration. If it was a toss up between the two and I could only run one server, it would be how it is with the auth registration.
