Title: 1.8/1.8.2-pre1 **MUST READ**

Alot of players are saying its laggy/they are having many problems.
here are a few tips~


1) launch minecraft and click "Edit Profile".
2) Check "Enable experimental development versions("snapshots").
3) Select "Use version" and click 1.8.2-pre1.

you will get the most frames using this.

another way is to select your settings and try these - Attached images.

common kchery  htttp://kraftzone.net/mclauncher  has 1.8 and soon the modpack

I did see a 1.7 protocol hack that lets 1.7 join on the proper 1.8 server, I might do that, but if it gets messy it will be going, and its not a permanent solution, I suggest just getting 1.8.2pre1 /latest

I got the zip file and this is what it syas 1.7.10.json    Ionic.ZipReduced.dll      launcher_profiles.json

use that one instead, run it, it will install to the proper .minecraft directory.

the zip file you can use aswel, but you need to extract all files to a new folder.

no okay got o the launcher click the tab settings then go to minecraft releases click 1.8.2-pre1 and at the bottom install then go to main go to mc version and click 1.8.2-pre1

it tries to register the application with your firewal so that the launcher doesn't have futher issues connecting to mojang server when get your premium login token, or when you download any of the jar files from mojang, or when you try to download any of the modpacks off kraftzone server.

if it doesn't work then just ignore it, if you have a firewall it should, if its not junk, prompt you to allow/deny the connection when running the launcher.

can you run the launcher?

yeh I have some updates to the kz launcher todo, a few things I never put in error checking code for.. like when it attempts to download a file, it creates an empty file first, but if the file download never starts for whatever reason (like blocked connection etc) then the file is never deleted. It was only getting removed in a failed download where it had already started downloading or the user cancelled the download.

At least this updated one will let you know it is having problems connecting to the download url, when its finished I'll post a link.

here try this one.. extract to the same folder as the other.. or make a new folder... infact yeh make a new folder, you can extract the java zip file you got before though into the same folder
