1.6 updates

I now know that 1.6 is now underway... But now that I've explored 1.6, i have found it very laggy and buggy. Anyone else find this? should we wait until 1.6.2 comes out with all the bug fixes for server update or update directly to 1.6.1?

The new launcher sucks
That's my main complaint, haven't messed around with many of the other new stuff
